30 things about me

#30thingsabout me is now trending on twitter. I like list-posts though this is the first one on my blog.

1) The first series I’ve read completely was St. Clare’s by Enid Blyton when I was 8 years old and have wanted a twin since then.
2) Still haven’t read the last book of Harry Potter. Didn’t want it to end and don’t want to read about the Harry-Ginny Ending.
3) Some people I know had something called a “tsunami” beach party every December 26 end because they were having a beach party when it struck south Asia in 2004. Nothing I have heard has ever been so ridiculous and inhumane under a delusion of being cool.
4) Walking, holding hands is the cutest PDA i can think of.
5) Never smoked, tasted alcohol or meat. By Tamilian standards, this is cool.
6) Always confused about which way to go first when I go to a temple for the first time.
7) I love commercials.
8) I like Masterchef Australia more than Masterchef India which is way better than Masterchef USA.
9) Coke is better than Pepsi.
10) I’d assume girls were born with black outlined eyes and had no idea what kajal/ eyeliner or even what make up is, till I went to college. Now, I’ve made up for all those years of ignorance.
11) Think everyone deserves a fairy tale “and lived happily ever after” ending
12) I have OCD. I sometimes get up in the middle of a meal to wash my hands again. Yes, I do. Ask my roomie.
13) Sometimes, the reference of Taj Mahal to mean love interest creeps me out because its a tomb (Mausoleum)
14) I’d rather watch an Indian soap than watch the Love 2 Hate U show .
15) My music collection is almost always outdated.
16) Used to collect telephone cards (at a time when there wasn’t any international calling facility, we used cards at public telephones). Used to play “memory game” with it. A lot of my collection has been lost to kids playing with them and I lost my possessiveness over them too.
17) I don’t think the “Chikni chameli” song is vulgar. Its better than Vijay-trisha’s “mozha-mozha” or Simbu’s “vechukava” . Forget the comparison, there are way more vulgar dances in Indian movies, I like fast beat of chikni chameli and shreya ghosal’s voice. Who said that only Sunidhi can sing a fast, peppy number?
18) Never bunked college. Yet always lacked attendance coz I came late after CA class and missed the roll-call.
19) I have a paranoia of being disliked.
20) My fears come true more often than dreams do.
21) Listening to the safety instructions before each flight – *Yawn*
22) Never played with dolls.
23) Was hooked to Roadrash and liked it more than SuperMario or Need4Speed
24) Since eleven or so, I never got the half-ticket/ children’s ticket advantage ’cause I was too tall.
25) Attribute my height to Nido powder Milk and Boost / Complan (Primarily Boost, Complan for some years too). Four glasses a day till 8th grade. No kidding. Ask anyone.
26) Love all forms of artistic expression (Music, performing arts, fashion, movies, ads, etc)
27) I haven’t avidly followed anything in particular in the last ten years.
28) Had a big collection of magazine and newspaper cut outs collected over all the years of my schooling. Though its redundant now for we find everything on the WWW and a lot of my collection has been lost, flipping through them brings me memories of what was interesting to me during various stages of my life.
29) Just because I wrote a list doesn’t mean I am jobless. It means I love myself and think everyone should as well
30) My index toe is as long as my little finger. LOL. It’s true. I’ll show you if you have the privilege of meeting me sometime
